Basel
Lead & Principal Podiatrist
Basel holds a Bachelor of Podiatric Medicine and is the lead principal podiatrist at Access Care Podiatry, caring for older Australians, NDIS participants, and private patients in the comfort of their own home, residential facility, or place of choice.
His clinical grounding comes from The Alfred Hospital, where he worked with vulnerable patients across acute and sub acute clinics and a range of wards. There he treated complex diabetic patients, high risk foot cases, and patients with vascular insufficiency, working alongside medical, nursing, and allied health teams to achieve optimal outcomes.
In private practice, Basel has treated the full range of everyday foot conditions, from routine nail and skin care to corns, calluses, and ongoing foot health for patients of all ages. It is also where he built a background in sporting rehabilitation and biomechanics, working with athletes to assess movement, manage injury, and improve performance.
As an orthotic lab designer, Basel has prescribed and designed custom orthotics, combining clinical knowledge with hands on technical skill to help improve mobility, reduce pain, and make standing and walking easier.
Together, his experience across hospital, private practice, and orthotic design adds to the strong, hands on experience Basel brings to aged care and NDIS patients. It means every patient is looked after with the same care and attention, and receives thorough, attentive treatment in the comfort of their own home.
